We are a family owned home delivering person centred care for many families in the North East since 1994. When you choose St. Marks Nursing Home, you're choosing experience, warmth, and personalised care. We believe that great care shouldn't mean that you have to burn through your savings. That's why we don't charge any top up fees, yet we deliver great care.
Our care philosophy revolves around the idea that every resident is unique, and their care should be tailored to their individual needs and preferences. We take a person-centered approach, getting to know each resident personally, and involving them in decisions about their care whenever possible. Our dedicated staff is committed to enhancing the quality of life for each resident, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. We put the LIVING back into senior living.

We have an experienced Nursing and Care team with an average experience of over 10 years per nurse. The quality of our care can be seen in the Good rating we consistently receive on all five categories of the CQC inspection report, the permanent nature of our staff (versus temporary agency staff), and the high satisfaction of our residents and their families. Most important of all, delivering personalised, warm, attentive care, is our passion.

We are passionate about LIVING. And we don't think that should stop because of age. We have a fabulous activities team constantly delivering great entertainment and things for our lovely residents. From karaoke, to bingo, to outdoor exercises, there are variety of things for every sort of interest and ability.
